Direct Giving: so you know exactly the impact you are making.

The state funds EES to operate. You fund everything that makes families feel they belong and are supported.

EES is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit serving 1,300 children each year across 21 centers in San Diego County. Donations fund Thanksgiving meals, elementary school readiness backpacks, scholarship slots for families just above the income ceiling, and the daily work that state contracts don't cover.

All gifts are tax-deductible.

The backpacks. The baskets. The belonging.

EES teaches 1,300 children a year. The state pays us to run the program. What the state doesn't pay for: the Thanksgiving meals for families who may be facing financial hardship. The holiday toys that bring extra joy. The school readiness backpacks we hand out at the end-of-year ceremony — filled, named, and ready to go.

It doesn't pay for the scholarship slot for the family that earns just over the income ceiling.

When you give to EES, that's what you are funding. Specific. Urgent. Real.

School Readiness Backpacks

Every year, more than 700 EES children transition to kindergarten. Each one gets a backpack, personalized and filled with the supplies they'll need to start. You can fill one.

Fresh Produce Fund

Over 2,000 pounds of fresh produce reach EES children every month through our Feeding San Diego partnership. Help us keep it going.

"All of us, at some time or other, need help. Whether we are giving or receiving help,
each one of has something valuable to bring to this world. That's one of the things that connects us as neighbors"
